If you like solid colorblocks, match the appliance to the cabinetry. White in the white cabinets and black in the black cabinets. If you want them to be the most noticeable possible, do the opposite. If you don't like either, save up your pennies and get stainless.

Wall color? Floor type and color? Natural light? Open concept? Surrounding rooms? Windows, doors, trim colors? Context is key.

There is good natural light. Vinyl plank laminate in a white oak, walls are BM pale oak for paint on walls and white trim with black doors. Very open concept for great room, dining room and kitchen.

This is the area. The cabinets will be along the wall with the venting hanging down the range and OTR microwave will be on this wall. Island will be in front if these cabinets. Sink and other cabinets and fridge and dishwasher will be along the wall with the window to the right.

Neither. Unless you want panel ready, do stainless. Stainless rules and always has since the 90's. It's been around since the 50's too, and blends in with all cabinets.

If it was me and my upcoming new kitchen, I would do stainless. Gives flexabilty to planned obsolence appliance replacement. Replacing them at the timing they need without having to squirm to get the exact same thing into the space. I don't know about you, but if I get five years out of any appliance, I call that a victory. Most of the time, I don't get that much time out them. The matte black and white are really nice, but changes in new finishes vary as does the finish on surviving appliances still in your kitchen just by way of use, age, exposure to light, etc... I'm really practical though...Wishing you good things in your new kitchen.

To get quality appliances you'll need to shop individually. Stainless is the way to do that also if you go integrated with panels to match your cabinets.

I had a small downtown house where the kitchen was essentially a wall in the living room (unconventional but that’s city living). I did ss stove and micro hood (again concession for space) matte white fridge and panel ready dw. White cabinets. Taking the dishwasher out of the equation can help clarify your other choices.
