Deciding between BM Decorator’s White and Chantilly Lace

In terms of what they look like, they're similar. How similar? We can compare the color data values (their color DNA) and see where/how they're different. (see pink box below)

The formula, list of colorants, doesn't give you that information. The reason I included the formulas (mixed in Aura matte) is so you could see that Decorator's White has more colorant.

Every single professional painter and Benjamin Moore paint store or rep on the planet will tell you that Decorator's White has better hide than Chantilly Lace.

If either one works for you, I'd choose Decorator's White because it has better hide and appearance wise it's not dramatically different from Chantilly Lace.

Color harmony wise, there is no difference because they both belong to the Green-Yellow hue family. So, the go with Blue note because it's a diad color relationship.

What she said.......Plan three coats with Chantilly Lace. Lovely when done but awful coverage.

I would say.....I find Chantilly a little "cleaner" less hint of gray. But in a bright space I doubt you'd notice.

You have to sample next to everything else in the room, but if I were you I would also look at White Dove. CL is a very bright white and I think DW can look dingy, but the appearance of all colors is subjective, and the lighting is very important.

This was my red kitchen and I used Coconut from C2 for the walls in fact I use C2 for all my paint IMO so much better thanBM Is how it to just really say how much I loved that kitchen

I like Chantilly Lace. It's my favorite bright white. If you want a more neutral white, go with Simply White.
