You've answered your own question! Yes, that sage green in the last photo is perfect. You could also do a charcoal gray, or even a teal green.

Why not build a shed that complements the house?

You might consider removing the shutters, and come back here when you are ready to replace the roof so someone can suggest a better color.

Use the brick brown color for the shed and the same white trim as the house trim. Make it look like the house. Otherwise, it will look plopped in there like a mail order shed.

I think the shed does not suit the house in style maybe that is what ppf is saying IMO a peaked roof would have been much better than that MCM type .I think painting all the trim on the house the same green as the shed would further compliment the house I do not love white with brick and the inspo pic is one of my faves for a colot tha works with brick and I love all the trim painted like in that pic.

The green is so pretty!! My son has a brick Williamsburg Colonial and they painted the shed gray, including the trim. I think it looks great

Where is the shed located? Are you trying to make it a feature or to disappear? All dark tucked I to a corner recedes, centered at the end of a garden axis deserves a better detailed shed.

I live close to two formal parks with symmetrical intersecting walkways, fountains, statues, and formal pavilions or other structures.

There is no completely obscure corner in either park because they are equally surrounded on all sides by 18th to 20th c buildings.

Both of these parks have at least one utilitarian shed within the park and there was no particular effort to make them match any of the other formal structures in the parks. If they tried to match the style in one park, they would end up looking like mausoleums, probably.

But they made attempts to make them as unobtrusive as possible. They are painted green to match the surrounding foliage, and are surrounded by a mix of evergreen and deciduous plantings. They really pretty much disappear, even though you can walk quite close to them except in the depth of winter, and actually since it rarely snows enough to stick anymore, they aren't even that noticeable then.

Yes to a shed similar in design and color to the one Maureen posted. The one you posted reminds me of a chicken coop at a farm house, sorry not trying to be mean, just honestly my opinion. Your home is elegant and lovely not farm house.

Open to other suggestions on colors! I think the dried thyme looks great right next to the brick but this will be very set back from our house, so still trying to decide on color

The shed that you just posted is a much better style for your house. I would paint it to match the brick, and same trim as the house. Use lots of plants and greenery around it. Make sure roof color is the same as house too.
