Thermatru vs other brand

We have a Thermatru door that has failed despite regular maintenance and care. The company won’t honor the lifetime warranty and so we are going to pay our contractor to replace the door. Before we replace it with another Thermatru door, are there any other brands to consider? Given the issues we’ve had with the quality of this door, I would be very willing to consider another brand, even if more expensive, in order to get a more durable, higher quality product. Any and all suggestions are welcome!

Our provia door and sidelights were expensive but easily the best door we’ve ever had. It looks close to brand new after 7 years!

Thermatru has failed and the company refuses to honor the warrantee? Why would you even consider another Thermatru? It certainly isn’t less expensive than other brands if you have to buy two of them, definitely not cheaper if the second one fails and you have to purchase a third! You are doing the right thing by researching before you spend money on a new door.

Provia, HMI, Homeguard and Albany are brands I would look to. Provia being first and foremost.
