English Tudor Exterior Paint combination

I have a 1930’s English Tudor that needs some trim repair and painting. I want to go darker and use SW Muddled Basil on Trim. Im think SW Hardware on the brick and stucco. I want to keep some contrast of all the molding, but not as drastic as it currently is how do you think this color combo would look? We are updating the windows to black.

My dilemma is, I hope I’m going to see enough of the warm green of the muddled basil. I initially wanted to paint the entire home muddled basil but I was struggling with a dark enough trim to provide contrast that didn’t make the house look too dark and jkeep tge green feel

Wow - the colors change quite a bit depending upon the lighting! I think the early evening photo is my favorite.

It is a more unexpected color on that style of home - but it works well with the brick + looks nice!

It will have even greater curb appeal once you can complete your landscaping/yard work out front. Post photos when you've completed all of it!

Green on green. Ignore the yard… it’s a work in progress. Apparently there is a lot of construction material buried under there. That is the next thing on our to do list.

You really need a picture when the sun is shining on your house. It's very hard to see much from that picture. I note your inspo pics have a bigger contrast between stucco and trim. A subtle difference can work, too, but if that's not what you're drawn to, rethink your paints.

I am not a fan of painting brick.

I dont like the green on green either. What you have now, is nicer than what you have picked. I would do either black trim, or a dark charcoal trim, and use the same color it is now on the body, or a lighter gray would work too, if you really have to change it.

I'd really like to see a photo where there is more light on the front of the house. The dark green looks very close to black in the photo you've posted. What are the paint colors that you decided to use? Green works well with your brick (I'm glad that you didn't paint it!). I think it's just difficult to see the real colors with how it's sitting in a shadow in your photo.

I'm excited to see the colors when there is more sunlight on the front of the house. I bet it's going to look nice!

Do you have a before photo? It would be nice to see the before photo next to the new photo of the house (with more sun on the front)!

It's too bad that so much construction debris was buried in your yard. That happened to my daughter - it made redoing all of the landscaping more difficult.

No way would I paint this brick. We removed all of the old brick that was painted and crumbling and went with something that was close to the original of the home.. We spent a fortune, but re-breaking the entire house was so worth it in the end and I definitely wanted a red brick and olive green colors. It’s really hard to photograph with an iPhone to truly get the color but there’s definitely a contrast. We have gotten a lot of compliments on it especially because it is different.

These don’t really look true to color either, but oh well, we’re really happy with it. It elevated the home a lot and is a much more unexpected color pattern.

Thank you! Yes, the landscaping is such mature. We have bought sod twice, and it has all died and then finally discovered all of the building materials under there. We plan on scraping everything bringing in new topsoil, fertilizer and starting all over. This has been such a money pit for a home that was supposedly completely renovated.
