Thanks to Kim for the alert and the emails! It turns out for those of us in colder zones that they do indeed allow the deferred shipping till spring for this sale, so I went ahead and indulged. RVR has amazingly large plants for band roses as Susan's picture shows.

I have been combing through their sale items and there are some Paul Barden options that have been on the list too. Unfortunately for me, they have to ship them now and it's really too late in the year to plant band roses, particularly in such dry conditions as we've had for the past month.

I could have sworn they carried Special Child just a month or so ago, but now I can't find it on their site or anyone else's!😥Had they had it, I might have finally bit the bullet on one i've wanted since year one, E.B. LeGrice AKA Cl. Pearl Drift.Edit: OOps!!! i remembered it was RU that had SChild. I hate it when there's just one rose at each nursery that I want, especially when shipping from some places is so costly and I don't really have space for the roses I have in pots now!

I posted what they sent me earlier this year when they arrived. I'd waited for them to restock the rose Paul Barden and Ralph Moore named for me as I'd lost mine to gall. I was delighted they were this large and even MORE delighted both were properly named!

I honestly miss the golden rose age of the good old days. I was actively collecting the minis I wanted and made the master list of desires then got to compare them against DOZENS of mom and pop mini nursery lists to maximize orders and minimize the shipping costs. What seemed exorbitant then is NOTHING today. I tried to spread the wealth of orders around to as many as possible in hopes of keeping them around longer. Now days, not only are THEY all gone but the vast majority of the old minis I collected are no longer listed by any sources and many of the gardens growing them are also gone.
