Unless I am mistaken PVC wainscot still needs to be over drywall or some other surface, it cannot go directly on studs. Building code requires it be over something, and fire resistant in some areas as well. So, while it will "help" with floods, its not a perfect solution.

I am pretty sure, that millworkman is correct in his statement. You still need the fire resistant drywall under it, so not much point in going through the expense, since it will still all have to be removed, and then you would have two layers to remove. I wouldnt want to live in a house with plastic walls either.

You do not need drywall and the panels attach to studs. Basically, pvc panels at the bottom like wainscoting and drywall as the top half of the walls. Here’s an example: https://www.enduraflood.com/enduraflood-is-waterproof-drywall

So you have sewage and oil water inside the walls after a flood but the wall is clad with a material that is waterproof so it’s fine? No after a flood the walls get opened, disinfected, and dried. This is someone trying to capitalize on your trauma.

Sorry more plastic is not the answer and I can bet not cheaper than drywall either . No matter waht the walls are made of the studs need to exposed to clean them up as was posted . This is why even tile floors need to be replaced after a flood

Per the manufacturer. Building Dept / Inspector may feel different.

I used the product in a laundry room with a sink. (I wash my dogs in the sink and wanted something more waterproof than drywall - my dogs splash so much water around that it looks like I bathed an elephant when I'm done...)

Anyway, I like the product itself. It painted up easily and it wipes down easily. However I wouldn't use it solely because someone thinks (?) it may offer some utility in a flood. As others have said upthread, if you get flood waters inside your home you're going to want to replace everything that the water touches.
