I would keep it very simple since it is next to the beds. Cellular shades, inside mounted, cordless, blackout. Stack neatly at the top when open.

With the emphasis on CORDLESS!

Cordless cellular shades are the very best option! You can always add a little valence to the top of the windows to soften the look and add some decoration.

Personally, I would suggest that you consider pulling the beds back from the wall a bit so that you can walk around that side by the wall. It will make is easier to make up the beds and you wont have to climb up on the bed to open or close the shades. How else are you going to open and close anything that you put on there uless maybe you use one with a motor and a remote. That would seem to be overkill for this room.

You might want to consider cordless motorized since there isn't space on the wall side of the beds.

I would have to change the bedding when the kids were at school ... otherwise they would be exposed to the worst swear words every time I changed the bedding!

Another vote for pulling them away from the back wall.

It’s actually zipper bedding! The company is called Beddy’s and it fits like a fitted sheet. Almost like a glorified sleeping bag makes it so much easier to make the bed up. I don’t have a lot of room to pull the bed out from the wall unfortunately and would be more annoyed by all the toys and clothes that would end up back there lol.

Child Safe bottom-up top-down blinds and shades should be your pick.

Functional, Beautiful, Child Safe and easy to install.
