Updated -Finished reveal
My kitchen won't be completely finished until next week, when the HVAC folks install the range hood and connect the vent piping. But it is SO close, I can't wait to show it off!
In addition, we replaced LVP with red oak floors, so this project has been underway since July.

It's red oak, no stain, Bona IntenseSeal, and 2 coats of UV-cured Bona Traffic HD.

Finally, the kitchen story!
We've lived in this house for 3 years. We remodeled the kitchen in our old house in 2013, changing from a cheap builder-grade kitchen to a marvel of functionality and storage.
This remodel was not such a dramatic difference, but since we were replacing the floors, it seemed a good time to do it all. This house was built in 1995, and there were several things I didn't like - such as the upper cabinets being only 10" deep.
The new cabinets were built by the same local cabinetmaker we used the first time - and I was delighted to learn that their installer is still with them. I was able to specify everything, such as the depth of the bottom drawers, and add a corner drawer above the super susan (a perfect spot for potholders).
One of the most important things we did was add an outside vent for the range hood. This is a twin home, with the kitchen on the shared wall, so we had to go up through the ceiling. Hubby insisted on a cabinet above the range instead of a wall hood, so we had a box built around the pipe.
I was able to repurpose most of the old cabinets, in the garage, my workbench, and a giant storage closet in the basement.
The darker brown ones were there before; the lighter cab and drawers on the right are from the kitchen.

I'm getting there...
Full height Taj Mahal backsplash installed yesterday (before the electricians came). I am SO in love with this material! I was able to sit with the person who did the digital templating of the slabs, which was cool. We would look at the computer, then run over to look at the slabs, then back to the computer... I'm so grateful to the wonderful folks here who taught me that such a thing was possible.

Details:
I make my own drawer dividers.
I didn't have a good spot for a tray cabinet, so I added a toe-kick drawer.
During the last remodel, we got this cute little corner microwave. I almost hated to put it back in the kitchen today, because it covers up some of the backsplash.
