beige ok w/white?

I have the Capital Lighting Delaney light and it is a light cream color. The trim, crown molding, etc are all bright white. Is this light ok for this space? The light in question is shown in the picture, along with other kitchen/living room pics.

Is there anything else cream? I don't see any other decor in cream to tie it in. A gray shade would be nice.

The chairs at the table are off white, and the cabinets are not pure white either.

Thinking since the chain & inner light pieces are matte brass, maybe that’s a problem too since I have no brass or gold anywhere in house.

I find whites tricky to work with but there are easy ways to bring in a off white since you have many shades going on already . If you love the light get it I would however be careful to choose the right bulbs and I would do LED 4000K maybe but they might need to be 3500K in this case .

I agree with @RL Relocation LLC - the light is too bulky for the space. Something with metal arms will let the person in the kitchen see all the way to the back of the house. This fixture blocks the openness.

I would post a different idea but photos aren’t posting today - something is technically going wrong on Houzz.

    Good afternoon @Lis Smith!

Here are a few suggestions that may fit better into your space:

    Cloud Pendant Lights

    Reflection Breeze Pendant Lights

This one is 24" on Wayfair. Does that height sound right? You need the right size to balance with the ceiling fan. This style goes with your art nearby and your dining set.

These are textured but look more “airy”. Both on Wayfair.

What is the table size? I need that befire suggesting a fuxture for you….is that a pub table..you may want to think about changing the table out more than the lighting.

Keep in mind because of the table height the fuxture has to be hung higher than normal….and if you change out to average height table it will be too high...this would be the time to change that table out before buying new chandelier and lighting plus the cost of a electrician.…..a round 30” high table would be beautiful in this eating area.

    Here is the rule

I hadn’t thought of this. We do not care for the table. Those light fixtures are nice-thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

That dining set looks really comfortable though. Maybe slipcover the chairs? Paint the white out?

Would any of these light work?

I wouldn't get anything that mimics the color, shape and motion of the fan as these do. Sorry.

Do you like these brass carriage lamps?

The beige shade is fine but as everyone said the light is wrong for the space. You need a lower hanging light.

If you want a drum shade, get something narrower and taller that the one you show. The dimensions are too similar to the ceiling fan.

Love this but with your tall pub table it may not work? what is the size of the chandelier? I think I would encourage you to spend the $1000 on a new table set..regular height than add a gorgeous chandelier at normal height…

Finally picked something. It’s ok. But I need to change some things to make it blend.
