How to remove yellow water stains on quartz

I have this awful large prominent yellow stain on my Caesarstone countertop where the dishrack usually sat. Guessing it’s from hard water. I contacted a restorer and he said he can’t remove it 😭 anyone here have any luck removing this type of stain with products? I tried barkeepers friend, baking soda and vinegar but those didnt work. I’m guessing the damage on the stone is too far gone but hoping for some final hope on here.

You don't have to cut on it! If it's where the dish drainer sits that would be on it. I just intended it as a cover up for the stain. Here is a wood one I couldn't post before because of Houzz glitch:

He can remove it, he just doesn't think he can charge you enough to compensate him for the risk of doing it. I'd figure out your replacement cost and charge you half of that, but with a money back guarantee. You would acknowledge in writing that the top was ruined and that I could only make it better, because the last one to touch it owns it.

How large is your sink base cabinet please? Perhaps the sink cutout could be enlarged and a new sink with a larger footprint installed, eliminating the damage.

Thank you for that. I will reach out to a few more contractors, perhaps I will find someone who is willing to try. We already have a large sink so making it larger wont work but I appreciate the idea.

You didn't post a pic, but if it truly is ruined and you aren't successful in having it repaired, what about cutting it out and having a wood cutting board installed to replace it there?

An integrated cutting board - Love this idea! Thank you, I will defintely consider that as an option if we can't repair it.

I tried to edit my post to post some pics but houzz is non picture compliant today for some reason. There are also non built in cutting boards that would cover the stain....here is a link to one stainless steel, but they also make them in wood in the same configuration.

But…a stainless steel cutting board? Not an option for anyone who cares about their knives. Cutting on stainless will dull or ruin the blades in no time.

However, the SS cutting board would be great as a trivet.

We have a wood one, just like what Olychick shows above. We got it at IKEA some 20 years ago. It’s one of the ”valuable” kitchen items we brought with us when we move to this house.

Thanks so much for these suggestions. I’m now leaning more towards covering up the stain and making it a functional area with either a stainless steel or wood cutting board. Really appreciate the input!

once installed, i thought it was not advised to cut bc of the silica dust and risk to health? I would bet very specialized and experienced equipment needed to deal with this making more expensive but IDK. I do know risks to cutting quartz and silica
