I'm lost! Need help with vanity lighting

Our project manager guided our purchases - and supposedly measured everything. Our plan for our primary bath remodel was to have a sconce, mirror, sconce, mirror and sconce. Then of course when it came time for install there is not room for 3 sconces. But more importantly, we need to figure out what to do with the lighting!! The project manager and GC suggested we get one sconce (new one) and put it in between the two mirrors. I have been searching and I'm lost on what would work.

ANY SUGGESTIONS FOR A SCONCE TO GO IN BETWEEN THE MIRRORS? Sorry for the bad pic. We don't have light in there yet.

If you're careful about the size of the backplate and the size of the sconces. you could do something like this.

See how you can still do the sconces with the mirrors.

You can have the sconces come THROUGH the mirror

Or you can have the sconces mounted on the side walls

Picture of the area in question will get more responses than pics of the material individually on suppliers pages. Many on here will not even click on links so you may be missing out on valuable advice as well.

Thanks Chispa. We originally had larger ones but was told to buy smaller because we were trying to fit 2 medicine cabinets and 3 sconces. I trusted the project mgr. I'll probably replace them later. I think we are so fatigued by this renovation that we are just done. For now, I just need to pick a sconce to go in between them.

I was originally going to get the 20x36 but went with the 16x31. I wonder if that work do the trick.

Do you have recessed lights in the bathroom too, so you aren't just relying on the sconces for lighting?

Your medicine cabinets should definitely have been bigger. Your project manager could have been a bit more creative and suggested other layout/lighting options.

My medicine cabinets are 24x48. It is a common design issue we see on the forums that homeowners tend too choose mirrors/cabinets that are a bit too small for the space.

You're in a pickle because the space between the right-hand mirror and the wall is so small AND the medicine cabinet -- not recessed into the wall -- is 4" deep. I would use a two slim sconces per medicine cabinet, one on each side and equidistant from the sides. Make sure the sconces are fairly deep so light is not blocked by the medicine cabinet. Examples:

- Aviance HD60616 Aspen 1 Light Satin Brass ADA Bath Vanity
Another solution: Remove the medicine cabinets and replace them with lighted models. Example:
- Arched Medicine Cabinet with Mirror, Gold

The sconces suggested above are beautiful. Consider using the side walls for single sconce and center the 2 Light between mirrors. It would look more intentional than squeezing next to the mirrors and widen the appearance.

I have no idea why those mirrors with arches at all and they are too small. I do not like sconces for bathroom lighting so can't help there but I think now the advice for placement in the comments above could work I guess

Thank you everyone! As mentioned above, those mirrors were a problem. Too small once we ended up nixxing the 3 alternating sconces idea. We went with bigger medicine cabinets and two slim sconces in the middle. It seems more balanced to me now. We should have enough light from recessed lighting and the sconces, I think. Will have to see when we actually have electricity! Thank you again!! I appreciate the help.
