I love my workstation sink! It is a 30" stainless steel undermount and adds so much space to my small galley kitchen. I use the chopping board all the time and the foldup dish drainer is perfect for washing up as you go.

Personal preference. I think it's a silly waste of money and/or space, but as the two other commenters say, lots of people love them. :-)

The sinks shown aren't excessively large - they are basically just nicely sized single bowl sinks with a ledge. I like them.

I save my mocking for the five foot lap pools pretending to be sinks.

Just completed a new build and used a Ruvati workstation sink like this. So far we are loving it. We cook a LOT and have many large pots and dishes that have to be hand-washed. That was our reason for getting a large single-basin sink. My favorite accessory it came with was the expandable steel drying rack. I use it daily. This isn't my sink - just a photo on the Home Depot site.

@lsalahi No. Workstation sinks have a track built into the sink. The accessories sit and slide on this track. I used Ruvati workstation sinks in a few of my projects and they are good quality. I have the Elkay Quartz Luxe workstation sink (in Farmhouse style) and love it. I was concerned about getting it in white (Ricotta), but have had no issues keeping it clean. In my prior home I had the Shaws Fireclay. While I loved the look of the sink, I felt like I always had to baby it (e.g. not pour boiling water down the drain for fear of cracking it). I don't baby my Elkay sink at all....and it looks great.
