I grew it for 3 1/2 seasons. What you described is what it was for me. Slow growth. Few blooms. Two or three nice blooms per season. I replaced it with Grand Amore'. Much better growth and blooms. I don't miss it at all.

Ken, thank you, that is what I needed to know. Out it will go. I have 3 Grande Amore and love it, too.

I got mine as 'Fatal Attraction'. It was on fortuniana rootstock, and grew 7' tall. The bottom 3-4' was always bare from blackspot. The blooms were some of the most perfectly formed I've ever seen...but I needed a ladder to see them. I was NOT fatally attracted, and it has been gone for many more years than I grew it.
