I have two drum chandeliers I rescued from a yacht club renovation 12 years ago. They were thousands of dollars each when new. After hanging in the kitchen, dining area since then I planned to reuse them in our kitchen remodel, but when we took them down… ugh😱 so yellowed and greasy!
They are very large, 28wx 18h.
My question, would restoring be worth it, or do I just find new ones? I know I can find new ones..but I have always been very proud I was able to rescue them.. they were in almost perfect condition!
I haven’t gotten an estimate yet.
I’m not a pack rat, but for some reason these are special to me.
Also, why is every new lighting fixture brass or gold!? I’m resisting, but I’m not finding any that sing to me.
