These are original cabinets from 1988 that are still in great condition.

The current countertop is maybe Giallo Verziano or something similar that was installed in 2001.

But I want to change the countertops to maybe a white quartz with minimal veining that leans more toward beige/gold-ish ( I think...).

I'll also be getting a new backsplash, this black one was done in 2020 along with having the kitchen painted. I will be getting rid of the bi-level counter where the sink is and have it all one level. Flooring was installed in 2012 and will stay. The island is white but may not look it in the photo.

Can you give me ideas on countertops and backsplash? Hardware? (I'm on about my tenth hardware change...) The walls will be painted a light beige along with the rest of the house.

Any other ideas to update this?
