You do have a choice. It will cost you a little bit of money to move the connections (or leave them and create new connections for a better place for the tv). More pics would be helpful and turn off the tv to photograph the space.

I don't understand the problem with the art. If you love it, it doesn't matter what state you live in!

This is a small home in a 55+ community with an open floor plan and this area is meant for the living space. There is no where else to move the TV.

That TV just looks ridiculous mounted where it is now. If you show the whole room I am sure we could give alternate placement suggestions.

A 55+ community??!! There is no way that a tv mounted near the ceiling is a comfortable viewing height for mature persons.

Moving the tv is just not going to happen. It’s higher because my husband had to have a sound bar. Some battles are not worth fighting

I don't see a video, just a picture of part of that wall. Pictures of the whole room would be helpful if you want suggestions that take the whole colour scheme into account.

I would not accent the wall by using grass cloth or a different paint. Just paint it the same light teal as the rest of the room.
