I like number 1, it's light and airy for the space. But somehow a different solution on shoe storage is needed, that would drive me bonkers, lol.

They are all fine/so similar; it’s really a personal preference and how it will suit your home. I’d suggest though using a washable Ruggable, given the location/high usage and consider a casual, modern design.

Would also be nice to tie in the rug, giving that little area a bit of personality.

My preferences are #1 and #2.

3 - it’s a small space and you don’t want to draw attention to all those shoes strewn about.

I agree with Diana Bier's comment, and also prefer #1 or #2. Place baskets under the bench to store all the shoes.

TThank you for your suggestions! I'm going to purchase all 3 and see which looks best once I see it in person. For some reason number 1 looks different in every picture. Here is a dmaller version and it reads more blue.

You won't be able to determine the true color until you see the actual product in your home. Colors are never rendered accurately on a monitor, or in a print photo either.

I'm also looking to replace my kitchen runner with one that doesn't clash with my busy granite. I'd love your thoughts on a few I think might work.

Okay I'm back... Here are the two rugs I've narrowed it down to after the others didn't work.
They only come in 5x8 ... I was looking for a 4x6. My current rug is 3.5x5 do you think 5x 8 is too big for the sspace? Which rug do you like best?

I like the black and beige diamond pattern that Maureen posted. And these two above are too big for the space and kinda ho-hum ordinary in my opinion.

I would keep searching to find the 4x6 size. Your two choices are nice had they come in a smaller size I would have bought both, one for spring/summer and one for fall/winter.

Personally, after thinking about it, I don't think a rug works at all in that space. It's a mud room, right? It's going to accumulate dirt and debris from outside, so having to clean a rug and the tile floor is just making more work for yourself. It looks nice with just the tile floor, and the shoes neatly placed under the bench.
