Fabuwood pricing

last year

We need help regarding approximate pricing of the Fabuwood cabinets in order to pick the coloring design etc. We had flood damage and want to replace all cabinets. What is the approximate pricing difference the “Fusion” signature, signature select, designer collection? Or painted any color? We have a small 10x12 kitchen. Thank you in advance for helping.

You're going to need to speak to the cabinet dealer as every kitchen price will vary immensely depending on the cabinet type and options.

Thanks mill workman. Unfortunately the dealer who showed us samples won’t tell us the pricing without the designer. We have not hired one and need to know an approximate pricing to design. Tough chicken and egg issue. Appreciate anyone who can provide some approximate cost?

    A million pesos :)

But really, I can understand why the dealer isn't able to give pricing without anything to price. The design gives them the parts list to work up a price on. Does the dealer have their own in house designer, or do they order based off of out of house designs, or both?

Thanks beesneeds. Love the name. We must hire our own designer which is additional expense. But honestly we have a tiny L shaped kitchen that’s only 10x11 feet. We don’t really need much design and just swapping out the old cabinets. But we really need some pricing to understand… even if “this is 20%” more and this is the least expensive… any help from any dealers here or professionals?

Fabuwood is overpriced junk. You can get a genuine American made mid grade semi custom for what they chare for a stock import line.

Why Fabuwood? Have you read any of the horror stories about them?

You’d be better off with say, Kraftmaid…American made, semi custom with low, and mid range offerings, of higher quality than Fabuwood.

Find another local dealer who will make a design for you. Ignore all the people calling Fabuwood garbage...they are very well built cabinets for the price point. They are able to come in at lower prices by making the doors overseas, and only offering stock sizes. Look up reviews of any cabinet manufacturer including the extremely high end ones and you will see a multitude of bad reviews.

Thank you beesneeds. Appreciate the links and advice!

Minardi and Darbuka - what problems are you talking about? Our dealer tells us Fabuwood has US based facilities providing jobs for Americans. But no matter where things are made- there are good people and good things everywhere. The next time we eat spaghetti - don’t forget to thank our Italian friends for bringing them here:)

Thanks malba2366. You are right. The cabinet sells person tells us Fabuwood had the best price point compared to others. Due to hurricane damage, we needed to stick to a budget and why we are looking at this line. Any advice appreciated.

Sorry, but they are stock import manufactured cabinets, assembled in the US, that price out way more than their American equivalent, like Aristokraft, Merillat Basics, Mantra, Quality Cabinets, or a cheap local custom. 5 year warranty. If you want to pay more for less, by all means believe the SALESMAN.

Fabuwood cabinets are nicer and better built than the builder grade american made cabinets. Read the complants and you will see the same complaints you see about all cabinets…painted finishes wearing down in high touch areas, and visible seams in paint where corners expanded/contracted. This will happen with any painted cabinet and the designer should be telling their clients about this.

Check out Ikea if you have one within driving distance. I haven't used either brand but I've heard positive things about Ikea kitchens. Good luck with your project.

The next time we eat spaghetti - don’t forget to thank our Italian friends for bringing them here:)

Not only Italians, but also other friends. Chinese invented it first, but the Greeks had been doing sort of a similar thing with another dish, then the Italians adapted and perfected the Greek stuff. Became super popular over the region. After the Spanish introduced it to the Americas, they brought home tomatoes and introduced them to Europe. Italians added tomatoes to their spaghetti. While meatballs as it's own dish was done in Italy, it was Italian immigrants that added them to the tomato sauce and spaghetti noodles.

The modern dining fork is due to our Italian friends and their slippery pasta- we ate it with our hands till the fork of the time was modified to make pasta eating easier and cleaner.

Thanks beesneeds for the correction! Love it. Yes, the the world is full of smart folks who can make great things and bring them to America and vice versa.

They also have Europa and Starmark in addition to Fabuwood. Anyone with experience with the other brands?

Fabuwood is overpriced for what they offer . Starmark is better. So is Kraftmaid, Diamond, Medallion, Durasupreme, Shiloh, etc. Those are actually mid grade semi custom.

  • last year

Thanks Zumi. Isn’t starmark a lot more expensive than Fabuwood? We are keeping a budget.

Fabuwood prices cubic zirconia as diamonds. Get away from that dealer. Especially if that is all they carry. You will spend the same money to be in better brand. Or less money to be in a lesser brand, that is equivalent to the lesser brand that you are looking at now.

  • last year

Thank you so much! They also carry Europa and a few other brands as well. But they said Fabuwood is the lowest price

Sorry my message got cut off. Thanks Zumi for the comparison. We can’t find the other brands near us. But found a few others. But anyone with experience with Europa or Mid Continental in comparison to Fabuwood?
