EVERY thing is white?

What goes with white? Everything! Except your rug and sofas.

You must have colors you like, dislike. You must have a style you prefer.......an idea of spaces you really like.

You need to seat how many? You have kids, no kids. We can not even guess the size of the space .....you need to draw and measure and post a jpeg of that accurate drawing with feet and inches. The entire space, walls, door entry , where the peninsula is, all of it.

Do you know if the flooring you are keeping is under the entertainment wall????

Jan: 2 adults, no kids. I like the modern look and maybe simple but i’m open to ideas! the entertainment wall is being removed and I believe there is flooring for that little space. :)

I honestly hate the flooring it doesn’t match with the kitchen cabinets etc. but I could be wrong.

This is quite literally a blank slate to work with which is exciting! Do you want a strong punch of personality added to this space rich with color and texture and warm woods, OR do you want it to feel light, soft, bright, neutral? Either way could technically be considered modern.

If it's just 2 adults, you could stick with a sofa and 2 chairs. No need to try and cram any kind of sectional and you can leave it a bit more open for flow through since it appears you have multiple doorways into this room. I know media wall is coming out, are you still planning to have the TV/media on this wall though?

Drop us some inspo pics of rooms you really like the look/feel of, and that will help us make some suggestions if you're not sure what style specifics you like. Without room measurements/floor plan sketch, it's hard to determine appropriate furniture sizing to suggest.

I need mor einfo and you need some color. Are you planning a TV in the space ? Those niches are just odd but actaul ripping out could open up a whole can of worms I think in this case I would just drywall that whole wall of course with some supports where needed behind the drywall That will give you a great space for some interesting TV , storage and display Something like this could work if the FP was aslo replaced then the whole thing could be ripped out to at least gain back that wasted space . Of course probably not white though .Once that wall is planned then my next choice would be some fab art to draw color from

Use the dimensions to start figuring out layout, sizes and placement of furniture pieces, etc. it’s especially important in LR given the front entrance and flow and if you (dry wall or remove) built ins, as it opens up more options (can be made to look more attractive) - so that’s the FIRST decision.

Next: Consider all your needs/your lifestyle/how you will use the space.

Style/decor: seems you have a direction and the more you pour over inspiration pictures, you’ll get closer to fine tuning major and minor decisions: furniture, colors (keep in mind the flooring’s shade), lighting, window treatments, accessories. Will you be painting and are you bringing anything with you?

If you provided information re: dimensions, keeping built in’s, and seating needs (including dining), you’ll get some helpful advice.
