Console Tablescape Help

I need help for stuff to put on this cabinet! The wood top is 9” wide.

The colors in this room are BM Gallery Buff (walls) and BM Porch Swing (painted furniture). I’m including a pic of the rug and a chair so you can see the other colors: basically browns, greens, and pink. The adjoining room is painted in Porch Swing and has a green and navy rug. I’d like to get away from more greens and browns and maybe include some navy on the cabinet.

I’ve googled things and I see things like lamps and candlesticks. I think I need tall b/c the ceiling is so high. I’d like to bring more wood into the space but idk what kind and maybe it’s not a good idea to have all different color stains in the same spot. I’d like to get away from gold since I have that all over the other rooms.

I think what you really need is a large piece of art instead of the mirror. Can the mirror go somewhere else?

Since the cabinet doesn’t fill the space, I’m not sure I would have centered it, and instead left a larger space on one side and then added a few pieces of art, plus the mirror.

large piece of art instead of mirror. no tablescape.

What is the purpose of the console or is it only decorative? It’s too small for any decor so gor for an Americana art piece.

I could swap the mirror over the fireplace and put it here and put the mirror over the fireplace.

If I did that, would I still need stuff on the console table? It still seems pretty bare.

Does the blue in the console tie with something else in the room that is also that color? both the art and the mirror are too small for that table. i would not put any objects on the table. it is too narrow and will look junky.

kay- so a few things- the table is too small for the space, but you could do a few things to fill it thinking in odds- I have a 7 piece surround. and fill the space in a bit:

but I would depend on the negative space around the table instead of the table itself.

Yes! I knew I’d need to fill the negative space. It’s hard to photograph this space without zooming out and messing up the perspective. There’s not as much space on either side than it looks. I’ll measure tomorrow, but I think it’s like 18” on either side.

The color doesn’t photograph well. It’s more green in person. I hired a color consultant to pick out some wall colors. She picked out the brown wall color in this room and the green color in the adjoining room. The green is in the rug and chair. It’s actually really cool together.
