They live with those broken blinds so I’d just add mismatched tile to the list of things that need attention but don’t seem to get it. Use it as motivation to eventually redo all the tile.

Seems they don't care much about the look of their home. Paint it cream to match. It will still be visible, but not a big deal in this bathroom.

I am sorry but really we have no clue as to what anything is in the space I assume the jetted tub had issues hence the reason for the tile replacement but who knows . Honestly I do not see why this is such a huge issue with all the rest not being dealt with

Leave it as is--it's a quirky look, having that white square off to the side.

Appears tile was replaced at other end of tub at some time. I would paint all the tile on the side of the tub since the texture and sheen might not match. Unsolicited advice - remove window blinds and cover windows with obscuring film which allows light, but indistinguishable shapes from outside. No need to deal with wonky blinds.

Daltile Cornsilk is a VERY good match to that yellow. No reason they couldn't "find" it, other than it would need to be ordered and has about a 10 day lead time.

Given that this looks like a newish bathroom renovation: subway, black hardware, high arched spout, acrylic Jacuzzi tub looks like (that's an access panel for the pumps on the right). this probablyisDaltile Cornsilk. I would see if she could order a sample of that online and then take that to a paint store and see what matches and paint it. It looks tidily done otherwise.

What is with all the mean comments? Not everyone has a $50k+ bathroom. Do they not deserve helpful advice, civilly given?

Looks like it's probably time for an update. If there isn't budget for it will suggest your friend save up for it. This is not meant to be harsh in any way but reality is reality.

Thanks all. I have passed on the comments. I’ve suggested they continue to look for matching tile. If they paint it, to maybe pant the whole side. As a side (because of all the comments), they were not too worried about it but just asked how they should handle that square without doing a remodel. I think making it blend in is the best. Another friend is suggesting having an artist painter try to paint something interesting in that box to make it look intentional.

Try and dissuade from the artistic painting…. That is more of a kitchen thing, not bathroom. I agree, blending is probably the better option. The smaller area much easier to blend with the larger yellow over painting the yellow to white.

It would be simpler, and a BETTER result, to replace the white tiles with the Cornsilk.

I get it. Maybe take a look at finding a tile that is closer or paint. Or find a stick on small towel bar and hang a couple of small towels there ( if it doesn't interfere with the shower door ).
