How about GE?

GE has produced good ranges for years. But of course product history/longevity is a moving target. Anyone who responds here to such questions with examples of having a given brand in-use for X years with no trouble (such my Whirlpool/KitchenAid refrigerator that's 27 years and my GE range that's 20 years) is invariably countered with comments that such examples don't apply to appliances bought "today."

If you live near an ikea or with8n their delivery area this induction is on sale for 1200. I paid full price for it and it works great…

I googled it and it appears you can use stainless steel pans?? We have SS pans so I guess an induction is possible. I hadn’t realized that, thought you needed specific pans.

They just have to be magnetic- some are, some aren’t. Easy to test though! If you’ve never had induction you will love the cleanup especially compared to a regular electric.

Not every pan will work. Press a magnet against your pan. If it sticks to the pan, it'll work on an induction cooktop.

• The induction Frigidaire FCFI3083AS (an incredible bargain at Lowes for $800) is the same as the IKEA TVÄRSÄKER (above) except that it's a slide-in range and the two left-hand elements can be bridged.
• The induction LG LSIL6332FE is another slide-in for about $1150 at Lowes and Best Buy.
