Call the installer back. In one house it’s over my bedroom and in my summer house it’s in the basement. Both silent except for a slight hum when on.

Can you hear the hum from your bedroom?

Is it a fan forced direct vent? Those are horribly noisy. Natural vent ones are all but silent.

I can hear the hum if it’s the middle of the night (dishwasher cycling on) but even then it’s very hard to hear. Husband can’t hear it. I guess mine aren’t fan assisted as they are very short exhaust runs.
