You can do a nice-sized console. If you enter and leave by that door, a mirror would come in handy for a quick check before leaving the house.

I would try to find a wood pie e with black hardware. I am undecided if a blacknconsole would be too much black? But, maybe depending on the piece.

I suggest you place a wood console table, black accents (paint front door, runner, art frames - or mirror, solar shade) and install curtains on the window.
