Please help remodel my family room!

Looking to remodel my family and would love ideas (AI rendering even better!) The wood built in and wood tv mantle are staying as is. Want to change the carpet (the one we installed last week is sisal and did not seam), fireplace stone and design and add some built ins, purchase new furniture. Please help! The room is 18x20 and bumps up to gray tile and grayish wood floor. Unfortunately cannot put wood floor in and don’t want to put in tile. I like modern/coastal style.

I had 3 different guys come to my house to see if they would be able to stain an unfinished floor. All of them said that they wouldn’t be able to match-the one I have is factory finished, wire brushed and moat likely had multiple different stains that they were only able to do at the factory. The cost would be about 4x the wood floor and no gaurantee that it would be match I have.

If it were me i wouldnt spend money on changing the fireplace or adding built ins but would put these funds toward wood floors consistent with the rest of the home. https://www.gardenweb.com/discussions/6468922/help-tones-of-wood-don-t-match

Thanks. I tried for a long time to find a coordinating wood floor (that was my first choice) but gave up after searching for a year. i do not want to replace all the wood floor in my home so decided to replace wity carpet.

Is there a reason you couldn't get unfinished wood flooring and have it finished on site to match?

I would choose a carpet that blends (color wise) with the wood floor that connects to it.

Ok so carpet is the best choice. That room connects to the gray tile and wood floor at the other entrance to the room, correct? I would look at wall to wall that incorporates both the tile and floor colors.
