If you get a rectangle table and butt one short end against the outside of the powder bath wall, you'll have a clear walkway from kitchen to backyard to living room. Place two chairs on each long side and be sure the chairs will tuck underneath the table when not in use.

I also was going to suggest replacing the round table. Round tables take up more space and dont allow much variation of how they are placed since it is always just one dimension to work with. it wont project into another space or fit snugly against a wall. I love a round table for a crowd as it doesnt isolate anyone down at the other end as does a square or rectangle . But for a small space like this you are not going to have room for a crowd anyway and a round table is not serving a purpose.

Yeah we did that before and had the table along the long wall but it was awkward because we were a facing the wall instead of the windows. The round table seems to be cozier for our small family. Also, the table was directly in the path from the living room to the kitchen. Maybe I can revisit this again and do a smaller table with a bench on the long side.

For now, the round table works for you. It's always a bit crowded when there is a Christmas tree. In the future when you add a sun room, you can convert the breakfast nook back door to a window and move the door to where the living room window is now. That will give you a dedicated breakfast nook with no traffic behind it and easy access to the sun room.

I echo what apple pie said - design it around the future sunroom (so that may mean doing nothing for now)

I would put a banquette along your long wall and use your round table and 3 chairs. Similar to your other picture but no need to pull the table away from the wall to use it.

Yes, the table needs to be along the wall. Put a bench under the window net to the back door. It’s a great space!
