Very pretty home. I see a brown roof and brown gutters and you're looking to have black windows on exterior. I'm just not seeing the navy as a compliment for the entry door. Hoping some pros chime in with their take on what best compliments with your color scheme outside.

I would wait on deciding interior door color until after the exterior is decided along with the foyer decor choices.

I cannot imagine why navy at all .I need I guess some explantion .

Door trim - black, match the rest of the trim

Inside door color - white, easier to decorate with and won't suck light from the room

Door hardware - what are your light fixtures? Match those.

Door color a glossy black and change up the door hardware to a bright brass, upgrade to a larger bright brass light fixture. Add some outside landscape uplighting to feature entry area.

I’d be trying to pull the entire house together, using BB on all painted surfaces/trim and the door a warm shade that is not competing but complementary.

What Maureen said. Why introduce an unrelated color like navy? It’s close in color to the black, but NOT black. Which makes it look like you tried to find black but couldn’t so you settled for navy because it’s close enough.

I just love navy. I always think it’s beautiful. I had been thinking black, but would it also be black beauty then? I guess I see black and brown everywhere and navy is something different but not too out there. I like the idea of a slight pop of colour but dark enough that it is barely there.

The exterior lights are black.

The door is aluminium and so they will be painting it in the factory before installation and I don't plan on repainting it for a long time. If the walls are white dove, should the door be the same?

It’s a big commitment if not wanting to repaint for a long time. Gather you are painting the garage doors/trim and paint the white arch. You can always add interest to your entrance with a large planter(s), changed seasonally.

Regarding the door’s interior, I’d paint it BB also and use as your jumping off point when accessorizing.

I agree with Maureen, why create a black hole, the front door should be a pop IMO, or at least give a direction since its rather hidden anyway, might make a nice distraction from the garage doors. Also, remove that post light and use that wiring to get some landscape path lighting instead.

There's no basis for introducing navy to this home.

I would select a door more like this below or a wood stained door with sidelights

I'd change out all the exterior lighting that is way too small for the scale of this home and replace the crooked post light with a bollard light.

No Navy, since there is nothing there that goes with navy.. If you were set on Navy, you should have used that rather than the black in other areas. I would want a brighter color on the door so it looks welcoming, and not like a black hole.

I think this Twilight Blue is nice, not as dark as Navy and will pop with the receding porch area.
