We are empty nesters with four bedrooms upstairs. We want to convert one of the larger guest rooms into a "forest themed grandkids room" but the carpet needs torn out first.

How crazy would it be to add LVP in this one room instead of more carpet? It may survive the grandkids better and after tearing out another room of carpet it just disgusted me. The first level of our home is new hardwood. Stairs and upstairs are all carpet (we carpeted the stairs with a high quality nylon carpet and did this on purpose due to a pet and my husband dragging his luggage up and down).

One entire wall of this new grandkids room is a (large) forest mural and then we will add two full size bunk beds. I found an adorable fake firepit to put in the center. I'm pretty excited about it but stumped on the flooring.

So, is it terrible to do just one room upstairs (out of 4) with LVP? I also thought it would be easier to deal with these huge bunk beds we will be using. Also, we plan on living in this home for decades (only in our 50's with absolutely no plans to move). THANKS.
