Suggestion for rug

last year

I’m having trouble selecting a rug for this area. Other than the black shelves, the rest of the house is generally neutral/white. I didn’t expect this to be difficult when we ordered the chairs but we’ve already returned a rugs that didn’t tie the room together. Do we go with solid or patterned? Round or square? Suggestions?

Because the floor is light I would choose the darkest color from the chairs and do a solid color square

Please, please get rid of that light fixture........it has no place in this room. I would not hang anything that low over this setting, but if I did it would not be a chrome dangle. Sorry. Rug should be plant shades of dark brown and cover lots of that floor.

You could pick the color that's in the chair or the lighter shade that's in the chair of one of the colors cuz that would go with it it looks like on my monitor there's some gray in the table?

The lamp is definitely going. Just haven’t shopped for that yet.

The pendant that RL Relocation posted is the Broxton from Curry Lighting ... I have one sitting in my garage! It was supposed to go over my breakfast table, but I ended up duplicating the other light in the family room as you could see them all in the open space and it was better using the same fixture twice and not introducing a new one.
