Recently renovated, and trying to figure out the best layout for furniture. Right now we just have two sofas sitting across from each other, but they are too far from each other to have comfortable conversations. About 11 feet between the two.

The living room spills into the open concept, kitchen, and there is no TV, but there is a fireplace.

Thinking about an area rug, and maybe some sectionals, but not sure. Would love some suggestions.
