Matters not, go stone shopping : ) locally. You need to do that in any scenario.

My guess is granite

It's difficult sometimes to determine what a stone is when you see it in person in a stoneyard. Guessing from a blurry photo online is futile. It could be granite, quartzite, marble or laminate made to look like a stone. Bring the photo to the stoneyard and see if you can find something similar. Or find out who the owner or designer of the kitchen is, and ask them.
