More contrast in the lamp and accessories. I also suggest you install lighting in your cabinet on the right and place more white items for them to stand out.

I did wonder why the cabinet on the right sits next to the TV console. I'm also presuming the reason the console isn't centered on the wall is because it's centered with your seating arrangement which we cannot see. Posting pictures of the entire surrounding area is the way to get the best suggestions.

I am needing to understand why both cabinets are on that wall? Please show the entire space, which I assume is both living and dining? All angles. thank you!

I agree to center the TV on the wall and if possible a cabinet thta brings the TV down to proper viewing height and IMO never lamps on either side of a TV or any other decor for that matter The other cabinet does not belong there , but of course we need to see the whole space . At least lower the TV to sit on the cabinet.

I like it as it is, but do like the suggestion for more white and maybe lights inside the arched cabinet. This already looks like an 'after' compared to most dilemmas posted here!

Agree with centering the tv + lower cabinet on the wall and placing the dark cabinet elsewhere. The almost-white tv cabinet and the dark curio do NOT belong together.

I wouldn’t put any lamps near a tv. Nobody is going to be sitting there and needing lamplight to read by. Plus the lamps will cast glare on the tv screen.

Why do we continue to be surprised when gray floor + matching gray walls + very little color or texture = blah?

Actually the tv wiring was placed in that spot because it is considered the center of the room. Really threw me off when I moved in but then it was explained to me that the wall on the left side of the picture (on the opposite wall from the tv is the defining point of that room. So the tv is placed in line with the center of the opposite wall. It created a challenge. I will probably move the arched cabinet and hang some artwork there.

No light on the console at all!!! The light creates a glare on the screen.

The issue is the height of the cabinet. It should be taller and since you cannot raise it I'd add something over the top

Totally off topic but a very pale blue (matching your dining chair) on the highest point of the tray ceiling would be very nice. And you could add tape light to the interior of the glass cabinet if you want a little more light on that side of the room. A large canvas with a picture light over it would look really nice if you decide to ditch the tall cabinet someday.

I love the cabinet and hopefully it would work on the opposite wall, as its size and shade are not working well next to console. Suggest large art/a light and a bench underneath to balance the wall overall.

Suggest removing the lamp on console and rethink accessories.

It looks like if you center it on the wall the TV will be off-set from the furniture for watching. I like a lamp there (I wouldn't add another) because I assume you don't have it on while watching TV and it's nice to have that part of the room lit when the TV is off, which might be most of the time. Pretty room!

Looks lovely..I would just push console a bit more to the right..with tv off set and allows more space for the lamp…maybe try finding a long low decorative wood bowl for below tv.
