SW Paint Coordination Help

Hi,
Our whole house is sw alabaster - walls and trim. No complaints. That said, we’re doing a bathroom upgrade but keeping our travertine floors since they’re in good condition still. Tiles are smooth and pull a little more rich tan/terracotta rather than dull/light tan.

I found an inspo for color coordination and have thus far found sw agreeable gray and drift of mist to be contenders. I prefer drift of mist at this point but I’m a little worried about contrasting trim color. My preference is to keep the high gloss alabaster trim color in the bathroom as an additional color tie to the house but I’m not convinced it won’t clash weird with drift of mist.

Anyone do something similar or have thoughts?

I would stick with the alabster it works well with tan .In fact on the site it shows it with tan as a good choice .

agree with above statements. The Alabaster trim is a good break from the floor, keep with the light of the alabaster for a clean look (it also helps to bounce light around the room) the Drift of Mist reads too green. and definitely no gray.

Add some terracotta textiles, shade, towels, shower curtain, etc. to tie it all up.

Nothing to worry about. They belong to the same hue family - they live in the same place in color space - and they also have similar chroma.

This means they share two different attributes. Having even one attribute in common constitutes a harmonious color pairing.

Where they differ is in Value, which is how light/dark they look.

In fact, could *almost* suggest that Drift of Mist is a darker version of Alabaster.

100% worth investing in a sample to test with the Alabaster trim.

Great color advice from some excellent pros above but I'll add one more resource. SW has color experts who provide a free 30 minute color consultation. Prior to the virtual meeting, you send up to five pictures of your space/inspo/accessories with your goals for color selection.The consultant knows all the SW colors and their nuances. During my consultation, I walked around the room to show the space in addition to the photos I sent. This free resource was so helpful, she gave many options for me to consider. I can't believe I've never used it before. The consultant suggested something I never would have thought of and I love it. She went the extra mile to suggest a color for a piece of furniture I was going to get rid of but now looks great in the room painted. That came from walking the room IRT with her.
