Thanks for your comment and suggestions, @BeverlyFLASeziner . Yes I also thought that sofa from Structube looked cheap. I don't have to go with leather or grey. I thought maybe off-white or something in velvet material, I am not sure. The idea is to change everything from my seating area and dining area. I even thought of a champaign sofa. Can't wait to see more suggestions. Price has to be below $4000 for a sofa. It does not have to be a Sectional.

Consider something that works with the blue dining chairs, perhaps patterned upholstery to bring some life into the room.

Cheap leather is worse than cheap fabric. I dislike sectionals why not try a sofa and 2 chairs . Maybe the sofa in a good leather and the chairs in a print that works for a real change . I have white leather in my LR it was very expensive but 18 yrs later still looks like new after 3 huge dogs and MANY parties with the odd spill of red wine too. We also have 4 chairs in the space . Is that space well used or more like a LR The boucle fabric sort of intriques me not sure I am ready for fabric though I love your art maybe a really nice glass DR table for a real change with a nice wood base to go with other wood in yoyr space but just a nice change

This is a beautiful space! I'm dropping a mood board, this is just what comes to mind when I look at your space. I love the idea of keeping everything lighter and softer than a dark grey leather (whether you go sofa OR sectional). An elegant sofa style in a really pretty champaign velvet really hits the nose for me looking at the space in the photos. Everything stays light and soft, with some contrast between the gray finishes on the dining and coffee tables. I could see a gray-blue accent to compliment the blue artwork you have in the space. I would avoid really dark, heavy charcoals, reddish woods, etc. All of my suggestions are Ethan Allen made.

Time to take a critical look at the room and make your selections as artistic as the architecture don't you think??????

You can select neutral tone seating and add color by selecting pillows,, art and accessories in a dynamic color.

Get out of your comfort zone and go in a different direction.

The one from Structube at $999 is very inexpensive, most of Ikea sofas which are not too expensive have a better construction and a warranty.

My budget is $10,000, which includes anything and everything i can possibly change. The leather kinsey Sectional costs $2,999. The kinsey sectional in velvet is $999.

I need to mention that my dining chairs have blue slipcovers. They are originally dark brown. They did not coordinate well with my grey sectional, reason why I covered them. My dining table is also brown.

I have been looking at 3q , Tangay, Structube but we don't have as many options as there are in the USA for example.

Structube appears to be hit or miss re: quality.

I would prefer a cognac/caramel leather sofa vs. a gray leather one. I've seen that color paired with gray rooms in order to introduce some warmth into the space.

Poly & Bark appears to have all leather aniline and semi-aniline caramel sectionals/sofas at a good price. I've never bought anything from them- however, I know someone who has had two sofas from them in her refinished basement for four years now and is very happy with them.

I looked up a sectional from Poly and Bark on Amazon - and right now they have it for $500 off = just over $2,300. There are many, many reviews and photos (and different styles). Just an idea.

There might be a few other items to adjust in the room as I cannot see the entire space but here are some suggestions.

- Black velvet slipcovers available on Wayfair.ca and Amazon.ca (according to size needed)

I also suggest that you lower the chandelier over the table.

I was thinking of buying new dining chairs, but I will go with lisedv 's idea of changing my blue slipcovers into black slipcovers hehe he. I will go with a light color sofa and two chairs.

I know area rugs make a huge difference. I always have so much trouble picking one. Hopefully I will find something good.

When I am stuck, I will come back and ask for ideas.
