Get a roll of blue painters tape and mock-up the sizes. Then take photos.

Most people tend to put in bathroom mirrors that are a bit under-sized.

One mirror.

One sink.

More drawers.

I would have said one mirror and one centered light. But since you already have two lights, I think two separate mirrors would look better. Each with a very thin chrome frame.

Too late now but I agree with Mrs Pete. At this point why start sharing. Get your own mirror.

What kind of lights would be better if I had the electrician just switch out lights and leave them in the same place? Some sort of a bar sconce?

Based on what you have completed, I would do the two mirrors 24x31.

One problem with two mirrors is your elbow. The one next to the wall. If you have two smaller mirrors and someone wants to do something on top of their head, elbows stick out and can hit the wall or framing and trim. One large mirror would mean one could step toward the center to avoid being too close to the side walls. People tend to lean in toward the mirror. A narrow mirror would keep them closer to the sidewall, where they could bang elbows.. Nearsighted people, especially.

One large frameless mirro to fit that whole width . IMO to small for 2 mirrors and aslo I think to be able to use the mirror in any situation is a good plan . I find the light quite glarey (if that is a word) I like bat bar lighting in LED where the bulbs are a bit hidden but give good light I would do one over each sink since the electrical is there .

My preference is one large because people of all sizes can see themselvs. I loved the old wall of mirror. A child could see themselves w/o a stool. There are major elbow/wall issues with the sink placements for sure. Do people actually primp side by side or do we have two sinks so one partner doesn't have to deal with the mess the other leaves behind? Can't see actively sharing this space, but I do get wanting YOUR OWN sink. DH has always used the basement bathroom so I never had to 'share' a sink with him, tidy as he is.

@Patricia Colwell Consulting - I did initially want two bar lights in LED but couldnt find one that seemed to have enough wattage for the space. I would be interested in replacing the existing lights with bar lights so we dont have to move the electrical. Would you have some examples that you would recommend?

@HU-78716702 - no, DH and I have always used different bathrooms for getting ready and we are not about to change that habit at our ages! He also used the basement bathroom for many years when our kids were young :). We just thought having two sinks in there might not be a bad thing to offer.

One large frameless mirror with lights coming through would be great. You could do different lights or even keep your current ones and either just replace the globes with frosted ones or frost the clear ones you have.

Love the look, functionality, and light quality of full wall mirror with lights mounted on the mirror.

Consider recessed medicine cabinets for the side walls of the alcove.

Run the mirror from wall to wall if you want the alcove to appear spacious.

You have to not get bogged down with wattage I find 7watt Leds are quite good and Go on a search for LED bath bar lighting 4000K . I like 4000K for both kitchen and bathrooms and both Amazon and Wayfair have tons
