These things need to be decided before you do any painting or choosing a vanity.

I like the bright blue floor. I’d repeat that same blue in wall art, towels, etc.

I’d paint the walls plain white. Maybe do a chair rail halfway up and find some cool wallpaper for the upper walls with some sage green and a bit of blue in it. A real wood vanity (in a wood color you like/blends with other cabinetry in your home) with a plain solid surface top. A fluffy sage green rug or two.

Start by finding a fabric you love for the shower curtain that compliments the floor. Use that as your foundation for color choices and pull other colors from it for your wall color and cabinet color. For example, this Schumaker fabric, the light blue farrow and ball paint for the walls and ceiling, and the greige vanity.

This isn't so much my taste and I don't know what your taste is, but starting with a nice fabric is a good way to go.

I have had lots of odd tile in bathrooms that was saved and the room inexpensively transformed with the right wall paint and fabric. Select the towels last.

Thank you both! I’ve been looking at wood colored vanities and a lot are shown with black hardware. Do you think silver/chrome would look ok with wood or would I need to change all the existing chrome hardware to match? a black toilet/flush handle looks a bit odd to me!
