Kitchen (Counter Height) Stool Recommendations

Hi! I’m looking for help for some new (counter height) bar stools for my kitchen. The ones pictured are from Pottery Barn, but looking for a change.

My kitchen table is the ”seadrift” color from Pottery Barn and I love it with my two toned cabinets. I was thinking of doing the same color for stools, but not sure how it will look.

They are nice, but just wonder how comfortable you feel about going a little bit out of your comfort zone. These are more striking, have a padded seat which is a bonus, and I think suit both the island and dining set (has 80% review with 5 star rating).

Thank you! I really like the Nathan James stools I’ve seen, so this is a great recommendation! I do have 3 kids (soon to be 4) so I worry a little about the cloth seats. However, I'm sure that a carpet cleaner could work to get out any stains. :) Thanks so much!

HOW about some contrast, a pattern, a color in the VERY monochromatic kitchen?

I'd begin with a different rug entirely, and pull a tone from a new rug. What is the paint/stain on the island? Hard to tell in your pictures

Maybe with kids you don’t want to have to worry about fabric and the backs may also not be very kid friendly. If your island is black, wonder about your choice in black and add a black clay or mango bowl on your dining table for a connection.

The one I link to is the color seadrift which is the same as my table and chairs. My island is a cherry wood (not black) so I think those may not work!

You've had the worst..what about them do you want different? I want and got and LOVE, upholstered,swivel, back. If these are chair height you don't need a foot rest.
