I could live here

I have been following this designer on IG for a while; not even sure how I came upon her. But she posted some pics of her own home today and I swooned. I could move in, and it would be an easy move because she’s only a few towns away. Since the house is almost 5000 SF, who else wants to move in?

An article from a while back.

And some pics from the IG post.

The primary bedroom is a bit too matchy-wallpapery for me, so I’ll sleep here.

On I adore that brown and cream fsbric on the sofa! Love the whole quiet, elegant vibe of the house.

It's lovely, but I don't care for wallpaper, so that would have to go. I love the wall and trim color.

Some other portfolio pics (clients’ homes) from her web site. She does use a lot of wallpaper!

I would prefer a more subtle grasscloth here.

Love the vintage (I assume) baskets.

Ks, I love love that sofa too.

I have such a thing for solid color drapes that match the wall color! Yes to a whole lot of this.

Love her work! I believe someone posted a Homeworthy (?) video tour of her home and I went on a mission trying to track down that brown print fabric on her sofa. I think I found it and will post if I can find the link. She is very adept at print mixing.

Oh yeah. You had me at ticking sofa with fat cording.

Well, apparently it was Jilly (not me) who went on a mission to find the brown fabric and did! So, I'm posting the original thread where Jilly found that gorgeous fabric:

I immediately remembered her Homeworthy video posted here; one of my favorites. I really like her taste.

Hahaha well apparently that’s why I was following her on IG; because I obviously saw that thread, commented on it, and watched the video. Doh.

I am loving the fabric pleated lampshades. I am going to add that project to my 2025 list.

Love all her rooms. So inspiring. Can't beat British style, IMO. Thanks for sharing.

RBS, so funny, one of my takeaways was ”need print lampshades”…

I love the closet area. Am fantasizing about having a Closmahal in my fantasy bedroom expansion.

I also love Pal’s post seeing the same things over decades used amd resused.

Speaking of pleated lampshades, I recently got these from Ballard Designs for a set of vintage lamps. I may do a paint wash over the green lamp columns but am loving the shades.

It's a cheerful home without being overdone. Her mix of fabrics - sofa, etc. is something I'd love myself. It's warm and welcoming. Love the patterned shades too Teeda, those look so pretty!

Can't edit my posts or say thank you either!

That bedskirt, blanket, the room, love it. Everything I look again at the photos, I see more and more. Thanks for posting this, Sue, it's a keeper :)

I have two of these in my living room. Are they too contemporary-looking for a printed, pleated shade?

Just realizing I forgot to put the Christmas blankie away with the rest of the holiday stuff…

    Spanish…..closmahal….perfect!

Teeda I love your lampshades! Before you paint the lamps take a look at the most recent Ballards catalog, they show several rooms using blue and green equally in the colors of your lamp and shade andthe effect is wonderful!

I can appreciate it, and certainly think it's lovely...but the only thing that really called my name was that first bathroom and you could throw the closet in for me as well. :)

Thank you, Kswl, I will check that out! I have had these lamps stored for ages (like many others here I have a lamp addiction), so I think I grew tired of the green. Yet we just renovated our primary bedroom and bath, with lots of greens! I will now leave the lamps as they are until I figure a few other things out.

To me, a patterned shade would definitely work on those lamps.

@Sueb20 patterned, yes. pleated, no. i would keep a drum shade on them as well.

I agree that a patterned shade would look great on your lamps. You could even cover the existing drum shades yourself pretty easily if you don't do pleated.

Just saw this pic on Katie Rosenfeld's website.

I like everything, except the drapes. I detest the way above the moulding drapes. I know the current thinking is at the ceiling, but to me it looks like the opposite of high water pants! I will never have the gap between the window and the drape/curtain.

    I’m eyeballing these

I could maybe try a DIY, nothing to lose really if I’m replacing shades anyway. Teeda, was it you who covered your own shade? I remember someone here doing it not long ago.

That kind should be easy to cover. Lamps Plus also has some nice print lampshades and Etsy too.

Yes, Sue, I did a few. A drum shade would be quite easy I think. I also did a version of a pleated shade but it was a lot of work so decided to buy these recent ones! I found several you tube tutorials that guided me through.
