Go shopping . I dislike reclining sofas for many reasons , first the mechanisms often have issues. There is no place for a coffee table and when you add another level of movement like the headrest it just complictes comfort too.. Farbric and recliner are at least a good match they both die at the same time. The fact is you need to go test drive and ask many questions to get any sofa and the opinions here could help maybe but you still have to go sit.

I think a three seater under 95" may be problematic to find. I have upholstered Room and Board furniture (Dean Sofa and Andre chairs) and on their site, three seater recliner sofas are in the 115-123" range. Two seaters are shorter than 90" though. I can vouch for R&B durability and delivery service. I also have their Jennings bed.

@Patricia Colwell Consulting Thank you. Yes I would definitely want to test drive before buying. I was just asking for pointers on what to test drive :). You are right though about the life of the reclining mechanism and fabric option. But its one of those things that you soooo want. :)

Check out Stressless furniture they make nice recliners I have not used their sofas but I use the recliners often but they do have footstools as opposed to foot rests that are attached . They are also very modern

I think Stressless only uses leather but you can check it out. Their recliners are very good but I don't know about their sofas either but they are very modern.
