Floor vs. Cieling Beams!

HELP!
(Ignore the blue cabinets)
We are completely renovating our kitchen. We have an open floor plan style home. We are replacing our flooring but not sure if we should match it to our ceiling beams? (pictured) We are going with wood grain tile, just unsure of what color. Because our living room and kitchen are in the same space, there’s a lot to consider. We are also thinking about doing a darker sage color bottom kitchen cabinets and white top cabinets. Maybe even considering doing a butcher block counter top for our island and white quartz for the rest. Does this sound too busy? Do you think i can get away with going with a lighter color flooring? Thanks for any tips/critiques/expertise!!! I’ll take the honest truth!!!

Just looking at the picture, the flooring looks nice. Why are you wanting to replace it? (It’s a lot of flooring to replace.)

Regarding other finishes, most here would say if you have more than one cabinet color keep your counters consistent, and vice versa.

Your kitchen/living floors look good in the pictures. Is the current flooring wood that can be refinished if you want to go darker?

Will you be using a kitchen designer for the kitchen renovation?

You can mix various kitchen finishes. Will the butcher block island counter color work with the flooring and beam colors?. Have you considered soapstone for the island counter? Some have green veining that may complement the sage cabinets.

The new floor doesn't need to match beams exactly but should certainly compliment together. I would look at slightly lighter or midtone flooring shades vs the beam shade so they can both stand on their own nicely. Kitchen doesn't appear that large to me so I would likely do wall and base cabinets all the same and island a complimentary accent of either wood or color.

If possible, consider adding a couple nice pendants over the island.

Whatever happens with the kitchen update, may want to change the black accent wall and entry door so the windows are the nicest feature.

Thank you guys for the input. We are changing the flooring because unfortunately after doing some literal digging in my house, we found the subflooring to be saturated in cat urine. The smell was awful and so we want to get rid of it and we’re hoping to start over with a new look. We didn’t like the grey flooring to begin with.

Deciding on whether the floor should match the beams is backwards. Beams are really easy to stain or paint and the beams here are not the most important feature in the space. A decision on beam stain should follow your decision on more important items like cabinet color, wall/trim color, floor color, and counter.

I think it's kind of odd when floor and beams match. Especially when the beams and floor are different materials. I would choose a flooring that complements the beams warm tones.

And yes, I find one color lowers+white uppers+white quartz counters+butcher block island too busy. I would keep it to one cabinet color and one counter color.
