Here's one of my designs below. Are you leaning toward a polished or honed finish?

@Beth H. : she has super white dolomite on her bathroom vanity. Her bathroom is beautiful. She's been asked before about how it's held up - she said that she hadn't had any issues with it.

I have polished Carrara on a bathroom vanity - I didn't think it would be used much (it's in a guest bathroom) - however, my primary bathroom renovation was a horrible mess and took forever. Also, one of my daughters came back home for a few months due to health issues and used this bathroom - and she is kind of messy.

The vanity received A LOT more use than I thought it would. While there are a couple small etches - no one sees them except me - and only when I turn my head a certain way with lights shining down on it.

Dolomite is more durable than Carrara - so, I wouldn't hesitate to use it in a bathroom.

I do have a basket of rolled up white washcloths that get used to wipe hands + wipe the counter down quickly (I didn't want water spots to cause etching). However, it's been three years and the water still beads up on the countertop - so, wiping little drips off the countertop probably hasn't been necessary.
