Those seem to be two very different houses and the picture are small, too.

Sigurd, yes they are different houses. The color scheme of the inspiration photo is what I am after without going with real wood. We don’t want the upkeep required using real wood.

I should mention the windows to the left of the front door will also be taller like the window to the right.

The house in the inspirational photo appears as if it may have some rhyme and reason to the placement of the stone. It was probably thought out in the design of the home and the stone an integral part of the design. It is hard to tell from the limited information in the photo.

The drawings of house does not appear to have the same sensitivity. The same goes for the massing of the house and the fenestration.

If the house will be in an area where it snows you will have to make account for the snow coming off the roof in areas like where the overhead garage doors are and where roof area is below other roof areas.

That is probably why I am not liking the placement of the stone in the drawing. This is in the midwest so we will have snow too. I’d take any helpful suggestions for stone placement.
