White with navy piping. Is that not white enough? This is calling for white.

Paletton.com is rather fun to play with and get ideas.

You plug in rhe Hex code for a color and play with the various geometric shapes to see what colors you like with your base color.

Play until you find something that makes your heart sing.

this is the hex value I used:

    Geez, RNmomof2 zone5 — it’s a different bathroom.

Stripes. White (sorry) and the blue from your walls.

Grey. This is my go to towel. It just seems to look good in most bathrooms. Path towel from Room and Board. The fringe and pattern add nice texture instead of just a plain flat color.

RNmomof2 zone 5 - if you look at the picture this is a different bathroom.

I also vote for white (of your walls and vanity). There are strange things that can happen in a bathroom...you always want bleach to be an option. BTW, love the floors.

    Here it is with

the charcoal towels from the other bathroom.

I’d think beyond just visual color displays, but focusing on what colors - which include other than white- look luxurious and touchable. The charcoal doesn’t do that for me. Need a ofter and more spa- like. If you have access to some store with large inventories of nice towels, you can take a paint sample and bring home a few returnable washcloths or towels to see what direction to go.

    Charcoal/black works.

The purple towel looks lovely with your wall color!

I agree with @Kendrah, a grey or silver will compliment nicely with your fixtures. These are from Perigold. This one comes in silver and a blue/grey that might be nice.

@Lynn N - You have two posts both asking about colors for towels. Can I ask you what is your favorite color? What colors make you feel like a 10 when you are wearing them or bring you joy when you see them?

Our homes should bring us joy. I put purple towels in my blue/green bathroom because I love purple and teal. I also love a deep wine red. My whole home is designed around the purple, red and green slate that is in my entry.

I think it is part of the reason I fell in love with my home and bought the house. It was in the right neighborhood and checked all the boxes, but it also had this fantastic floor and pink brick and red siding and all my favorite colors would flow through this home with ease.

I really like charcoal gray towels but they have not looked right in these bathrooms. I really don't like white so although they would look good here I don't like them. I have no white clothing either for this reason. I like darker colors usually.

The color of the bathroom is from Frazee (Indus 3063) years ago. It is blue and not really green at all.

Try a purple blue - similar to SW Searching Blue (middle color below) or darker.

Go to a store that sells towels (I love Bloomingdales) and buy a few wash cloths. See what looks good to your eye. Colors don't show well on a screen--your walls look like a blue/green on my monitor.

Your walls looked like blue green on my screen, too.

Any of the colors I showed would still work with the blue that you have. But if you want a dark color - why not just a dark blue, then, like my last image.

You can really go many ways with the colors. A dark plum color. A leopard print.

In any case, although I do realize that you want something that looks nice to your eye- this is not really a serious problem. :) If it‘s a guest bathroom - just do white. It doesn’t matter if you like white - guests will like and appreciate it. If it’s your personal bathroom- unless you‘re doing an Elle Decor photo shoot, or regularly do house tours (which if you do (pro tip) do not invite anyone from this site ;)) - in lieu of any of those scenarios - I really would not sweat it. Decorating is supposed to be fun.

freedomplace1 - I'm not sweating it at all and understand there are more serious problems. I am not sure how I gave the impression this was a problem of some kind. I'm learning about color with decorating so I did consider this a fun way to learn until I read your last paragraph. I spent $$ on a pile of white towels that don't bring me joy because they look dingy and are dirty almost as soon as I put them up. I am obviously a novice but was under the impression that part of decorating was to get a finished product you like. It is a family bathroom in our main living area and no I had not booked an Elle Decor photo shoot.

If you read my comment, you will see that I said if it’s a guest bathroom, use white.

There is no reason that you need to use white towels for your family bathroom, unless you want to, and you have made it clear that you don’t.

There are any number of colors you can use - and if you read my comment, I said that. You said you prefer dark colors , and in my first comment I had included a charcoal grey, I also mentioned black could work, and I also had included an image that I did with dark/navy blue towels, which I again referenced in second comment.

ETA: another visual w/dark blue towels; this one may be closer to your wall color:

I have a similar blue on my bathroom walls and I have combined it with medium gray towels.

Here is a towel from The Company Store called "Storm". It's a blue which ended up having a little green in it. Thoughts? Too dark possibly? I'm really failing at this. I think it might be time to get a roll of paper towels and call it a day.

I did post two different bathrooms asking about towel color suggestions. They both have marble counters. One is a blue bathroom and one has wallpaper in tones of gray. Sorry if that was confusing.
