Need a floor plan with ALL dimensions. An idea on your budget and pictures of the balance the kitchen and and surrounding area if open concept. What can change in the way of plumbing? Electric? What was the purpose of the trim on the ceiling?

It is possible to change the electrical plumbing and the ceiling just needs more light.

You need to hire a kitchen designer. The type of work you want is very involved, and not free.

This is a good place to start: Read Me First. It looks like you definitely need more storage, or less stuff, or both. I think you'd enjoy your kitchen more if you could clear off the counters.

What are your goals for the change? What do you like about the current kitchen, and what do you hate?

For example, our remodel goals were:

- change the location of the stove to increase the prep space between sink and stove

- all drawers for base cabinets to improve storage

- uppers to the ceiling to improve storage

- adequate storage space WHERE NEEDED to get stuff off the counters (like knife blocks, toaster, dry goods canisters)

- a dedicated "command center" to replace a kitchen desk

- outlets inside a cabinet to get chargers off the counter

Please post a sketch of the entire floor the Kitchen is on and a fully-measured layout of the space(s) under consideration like the image below. Be sure you measure each wall/window/door/doorway and the distances between each wall/window/door/doorway. Each measurement should be legible and dark enough to read.
