There's an opening on the other side. I have all of my receptacles and home audio connections oriented to the wall where the TV is so the basis of the setup would need to remain the same.

Have you already purchased the sectional and chair? The reason I'm asking is that most designers on here advise against purchasing a sectional. I understand that all of your audio connections are already placed in a manner that would require that the tv/speakers/components stay on the current wall (I have large tower speakers that I have to deal with + many other components of the sound system due to my SO being an audiophile).

However, if you provide a quick scaled sketch of the room (including dimensions for windows/doors/doorways/etc., you would be surprised at how helpful people will be re layout (and furniture) advice.

Love the surround sound, theater quality. Nice! Honestly, the furniture that you have looks great. Is it not comfortable, not working for you now? What about holding on to that until the littles ones have sprouted a little bit more?

The current furniture is failing. It is peeling and the mechanics are failing. I've been dealing with it for a few years. Time to upgrade!

Oh, forgot to ask. Does the sectional come without the chaise? If you are getting a stand alone chaise you may not need it. Just wondering.

It has the option to not have the chase but I'm wanting it. The couch doesn't recline. Wanting comfort over looks in this case.

This room is used for entertaining and I have people over to watch games so want to make it functional for that as well. The next room over is my family room which I have 4 chairs around a table for conversing.

I have different rooms that can be utilized. The amount of seats i have now is sometimes not enough. The 6 seats now are sometimes not enough.

I'll start by saying you need a large rug to anchor the furniture; some kind of window treatment (even painting the trim will make a difference.

If your windows came with the holes for adding muntins, do it.

I'm slowly going through my house and painting my baseboards and trim. I have a large area rug in that room now.

A muntin should clip into the window to separate the glass into panes (grid).

The rug you have isn't close to what is needed. What ever furniture you buy, all front legs should be on the rug.

Consider placing furniture in front of the window.

The middle window trim has clip spots for the screens.

Okay I resized the room. Here is the rendition with suggestions for your consideration. This arrangement seats up to 10 to 16 people. I used a couch with two chaise lounges. You can find this type of modular couch at LOVESAC. www.lovesac.com

• Four swivel chairs.
• Two side tables, yours
• One couch table to match the side tables
• One modular couch with two chaise lounges that seats 6 to 7 people.
• Two long couch tables side by side with two table lamps
• 6 small stools that can be placed under the couch table so folks can sit there to watch the game.
• One very large TV. 100" TV
• One Large area rug. You can also go to a carpet store and have them cut a piece of carpet to fit the room. They will edge the carpet for you. Home Depot also has some great deals on large carpet. IKEA too.
• Your electric piano. I put an upright piano in the rendition because I don't have an electric one.
• Two floor lamps on either side of your piano.
• Your large art work.
• Four bookcases, two on each wall. Storage for electronics, toys, etc.
• Two small potted trees.

The couch that you posted looks like it will not seat more than 5 people comfortably. Most of the time people are unable to sit in the corner section when the seats next to the corner is taken, knees knock. Anyway, I hope the suggestions below are helpful.
