I am sorry bit how can they possibly see into your house through that upper window maybe post a pic of the house from outside I see a covered entry so no possiblity of seeing into your house . Privacy is IMO almost alwys in your head more than reality and this for sure is one of those times . If the side windows are the issue you can cover them if this is trully an actual issue . I have huge windows all through my house I never close the drapes becuse honestly I am not that important that people want to know what I am doing at any time. So post a pic showing us exactly what is seen from the neighbor.

How can you tell there’s a covered entry? All I can see is a reflection of the interior.

Use a glass film to provide privacy. Both colorless (for example, frosted) and colorful (for example, stained glass look) are available in lots of patterns. Film is easy to apply and remove.

Etsy has lots to choose from and I’d aim to mimic the side windows (or as close as you can).

First I would print a sign that says "mind your business" or " We can see you" or "Stop being nosey " and stick it in that window for a week. Then get one of those wonderful window films to put something decorative there ( like shown above )

    The nerve of some people!

You can see them rolling their eyes?

How can you even see out that window to see who is looking in from above, and what are you doing that is so fascinating to the neighbors?🤗

I would cover all three windows with the film that makes the windows more opaque.

I dont mean to offend you, but Its hard for me to believe anyone can see into you slender door surround windows. I had a new front Thermatru entry door installed a few years ago (that I love). When I stepped outside, you can not see into the door window, unless you are 3 feet away. The door opens to my entryway hall. Step outside your door and see how close you need to come to the door to “see inside”. What area of your home does your door open to?

Such a narrow window that the view would be quite limited . Just how much life are you living in the foyer of your house?

I bet that they see much less of you than you might think.

When you suggested that they are judgmentally rolling their eyes at you I think that many interpret that a reflection of more feeling than actual fact.

Many cant see how a window that high and narrow could be that big of a window to your private world.

You could also turn off the lights in the foyer if you really do feel as if you are being watched

I have a kitchen window on the front of my house and it looks over the cul de sac. This window has a heat vent on the floor in front of it and I often stand over the vent and gaze out of the window. If I am at my stove cooking, I am in the window . If I open the fridge, I am in the window. If I stand anywhere in my small kitchen , I am in front of the window. I did not build this house and did not cause my best window to be in a place where I am in front of the it all the time. I did not design it to gaze out onto every thing that everybody is doing I see all and know everyone who passes in the cul de sac .Sure that the neighbors just think that I am always watching them, I am, because they are outside of my window anytime I am in the kitchen! I have a veiw of everyone. It was not planned like this.

That narrow window above the door would offer but a limited view, it seems. Dont do exciting things and they will get bored with it. I just wonder how do YOU see THEM from your own perspective and how entertaining are you as you walk through your foyer? Your own view of them must be limited by the narrow perspective and maybe they think that you are watching them!

However, many of the new houses that I see are so close together that there is barely enough room between them to pass a lawn mower through, yet there are stil windows on the sides and each neighbor has a good view of the other. These houses are too big for the small lots and are crammed into a small space and I bet many can see right into the neighbors house. The big houses look ridiculous all crammed into one small street with barely wiggle room around them. All house and no land!!! There are lots of new tracts like that in my modern suburb. Big houses and all ridiculously close to one another! And, lots of them!!!!

They may be rolling their eyes because they see you looking at them looking at you. Put some privacy film up and call it a day. What you can't see can't bother you.
