It's very hard to comment on flow in an empty space. Equally, we'd need measurements to advise on how much furniture. While some greys will go well with camel, most don't. I don't know why you think a large, empty space is lacking flow. It is all flow. Or maybe "flow" is a meaningless word that is used by HGTV to have something positive to say.

Obviously the odd man out is the cabinet color. One way you can bring it into the scheme is with rugs and fabric. Start with a rug, soft colors of the room.

Use gray for the sofa...love this one because the wood legs also work in the space.

I would do four, 2 and 2 facing each other allowing sofa, four chairs and coffee table to make a seating arrangement for 6 or 7. Coffee table needs a color.

Thank you for your comments. I guess by ”flow” I mean the color scheme no longer flows (to me). primarily due to the kitchen cabinets.

I compromised because the cabinet color of original choice had backorders that would throw the project off schedule (which was not an option).

The living room is 21x18 connected directly to a 16x12 dining area (not the blue room). So entire living space is 30ft long with a 9x11 office attached.

Perhaps it is too soon to really capture the room…

Do you have a colour number for the colour of your cabinets or a better picture as it really look with lots of purple in the gray on my screen.

It is Worthington Gray. the only color number I could find is 300.

I would paint the island the same white as the door and trim in the kitchen, to kind of relax the sea of grey going on.

You seem to have warm white paint on the walls, I would work with beige - gray - cream -white... perhaps a touch of black. Neutrals doesn't mean boring!

Too soon to make decisions but any piece you get with even a small amount of gray can work so for instance a rug or throw pillows this does not need to change the original color palette much at all. I would not touch thta island until after the new home warranty expires but add some fun color for small appliances for instance . A big bowl of fruit then use colors from that for something else . I love gray so would not be a huge issue and you can make it less so by just taking a deep breath wait until you are in and then plan furniture pieces I am not fond of too many chairs in a space but 2 sofas and 2 chairs could work if the space is big enough we have no idea about room size.I would stay away from too much beige, crean stuff and add color it will aslo take your eye away from the gray . Why black for the hood ? I hope not black appliances but if they are then up that lighting in there a lot with LED fixtures in 4000K
