Help! Should we install reverse osmosis?

Our family has skin problems and we have hard water issues. Will reverse osmosis systems fix this? Are they easy to use? Are they difficult to maintain? Are they reliable? Is it worth it?

Any and all advise and especially those who live with a system in their homes or plumbing experts who know which systems work well

We had a RO system in our previous house. Under the kitchen sink. For drinking and cooking water. Watts Zero Waste. I recommend it for such use. But it is not suitable for what you need. We had a whole house water softener which was lovely for laundry and bathing. ECO brand.

Both required some maintenance, but neither was difficult.

Rather than do a completely worthless poll, how about doing your homework yourself just a bit. Don't expect us to spoon feed you information.

Hint: Nothing you have said suggests that you would benefit from RO.

You would probably benefit from a water softener though.

RO is such a con. And wasteful. Unless you want to drink seawater.
