Paint suggestions

In need of paint recommendations!! We are doing some home updates and while I would love to update our granite countertops, it’s not in our budget. We are looking to paint the walls a beige color (no yellow undertones) that will complement and contrast well with our cream cabinets and countertops. We are getting new backsplash that has whites/creams/tans in it to brighten up the space and also changing the hardware on the cabinets.

As shown in the third photo, we tried accessible beige (top left) and loved the color but felt it was too dark. The one below that is it lightened 50% but it leaned more grey than we wanted. We are also planning to paint an accent wall in that same room a dark green to give the area a pop of color (fourth pic). Any recommendations for paint/decor are welcomed!! Thanks in advance!!

I see you have bright white trim and creamy cabinets. Do your existing walls match the cabinet color? Do you know the exact cabinet color? You run the risk of a clash of creams and whites here so go slow and get large samples to test. Painting directly on the wall is not recommended. If you know the cabinet color then let us know. If you don’t then take a door to a paint place to get it matched. That is your baseline color to work with. Then, once you know that you can post back here and we can let you know specifically what colors work with it. Don’t worry about the green u til you get your neutral right.

Thank you for your input! We unfortunately don't know the exact color of the cabinets, they are a creamy/off white color but maybe we could take one off and take to the paint store to color match if you think that would be beneficial. I want a wall color that is a tad darker than the cabinets and blend well with our countertops. I attached a picture below of the whole area to include the accent wall (on the far left). Thanks for your suggestions and I will let you know if we can figure out the exact cabinet color.

Rather than take off a cabinet door, just take one of your smallest size drawers with you to match paint. I personally, would pick an actual color for the walls, since the area could use a bit of interest.

I think that green paint color would be lovely brought in w pillows and art maybe? The rug isn’t necessarily tying in with that though. I’m afraid it would seem a bit lopsided to do that whole sofa wall in it (as the sectional reads a bit cool grey I don’t think the green wall is a good idea). Your drapery rods could be tweaked to be of appropriate scale and not extending past the panels. There is nothing wrong with just leaning into your cream/grey aesthetic and keeping it airy and neutral. What does your rug look like by the sectional?
